Sales Development Representative

The Sales Development Representative position is a newly created role in our rapidly growing start-up environment. The SDRs will report to the Senior Demand Generation Manager and will play a critical part of our enterprise sales process. As an SDR, you'll be responsible for targeting, engaging, qualifying, and scheduling meetings/demos with prospective customers to help build quality pipeline. Successful candidates will be highly-energetic, driven professionals with sound business acumen, strong technical aptitude and natural sales instincts.

Responsibilities

  • Book qualified meetings through creative, persistent, and effective outbound sales campaigns
  • Leverage email, phone, and social prospecting to find and contact new leads and accounts
  • Maintain active engagement with existing leads and respond to limited inbound leads
  • Maintain up-to-date information in Salesforce.com
  • Meet or exceed assigned targets from marketing while promoting camaraderie and sharing best practices
  • Provide feedback to peers and internal teams to help develop and improve demand generation materials and campaigns

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • Must have 6 months to 1 year of experience in sales development (SaaS experience a plus, but not required)
  • Deep technical aptitude with the desire to learn AI technologies and articulate solutions to prospective customers
  • Must have a “hunter” mentality, be comfortable with limited supervision, perform under pressure, and have solid problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships quickly, both internally and externally
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Experience using Salesforce, Salesloft and Discover.org a plus
